Computer forensics is the scientific and strategic examination and analysis of data that resides on any type of computer storage media in such a way that the information can be used as evidence in a court of law. Using highly specialized software, computer forensic analysis “unlocks” every bit of data on electronic media, including all data that has been deleted, hidden or otherwise rendered invisible and imperceptible to the operating system.
