As a founder of Vestige, Damon has over 30 years experience working with technology. For more than 20 years, he has worked in the industry or consulted businesses on big-picture IT Management issues, as well as deeply technical issues. His foundation as a programmer/developer, formal training in IT, as well as years of experience working with businesses provides him with an extremely deep understanding of a multitude of issues that arise on digital devices.
His software development experience further provides him with a deep understanding of how data is stored, and where it is stored, which gives him a distinct advantage when considering how Digital Forensics can be used to obtain the evidence.
Since 2001, Damon has been involved in the digital forensics field. He has developed the techniques and procedures that protect and preserve the evidence, allowing its admissibility in courts, as well as performing the actual analyses on cases. He has testified in State and Federal courts and has been recognized as an Expert in Computer Forensics under Federal Rules of Evidence 702. He is a member of the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners (ISFCE), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and stays active in several Computer Forensic-only message boards.
Helping to shape this important and fast-moving industry, he is responsbile for leading Vestige and overseeing corporate strategic direction and growth, finance and administration, as well as the sales and marketing functions of the company.
Damon is a sought-after speaker on the topic of Forensics, Electronic Discovery, IT Security and IT Audit subjects and has given presentations and been part of expert panels within the region, including presentations to several Professional Associations (legal, accounting and others), in the Information Security area, as well as seminars to area attorneys and law firms. He has also been published a number of times on topics relating to Computer Forensics as well as other Technology related subjects.
Damon earned his Master in Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management, and his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University. In addition he holds the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), (CSX) Cybersecurity Nexus Fundamentals certification from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). As a founder of Vestige, Greg has been involved in the digital forensics field since 2000. He is responsible for the creation of Vestige’s infrastructure and continues to oversee the process of standardizing and streamlining Vestige’s forensic analysis to provide consistent high-quality results in a timely basis.
Greg leads Vestige’s Digital Forensic and E-Discovery services. His responsibilities include helping to determine strategic direction of the company and overseeing the day-to-day operations and internal Information Systems infrastructure. He helps in performing as well as managing the digital forensic investigations and leads the Data Evidence Specialists and Forensic Analysts on the Vestige team.
Greg has 20 years of experience working in the computer industry. His various positions and responsibilities included custom software design and implementation, network management and security, database programming, disaster recovery and end-user support. For the past 15 years, Greg has helped Vestige become one of the few companies capable of performing comprehensive digital forensic investigations. He has worked on criminal and civil matters covering areas such as intrusion and incident response, intellectual property theft, fraud and uncovering hidden assets. Greg is experienced and has testified in State court and Federal court in both civil and criminal cases.
Greg graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a minor in Artificial Intelligence from Case Western Reserve University. He holds the professional designation of Encase Certified Examiner (EnCE) and Digital Forensics Certified Practitioner (DFCP). He is an active participant in the digital forensics industry having spoken at conferences such as Techno Forensics, ISS World (Intelligent Support Systems), Computer and Enterprise Investigations Conference (CEIC) and Paraben Forensic Innovations Conference (PFIC). Theresa joined Vestige in 2009. As Operations Manager, she is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating Vestige’s administrative operations including: budgeting, company reporting, tax preparation, accounts payable, credit card transactions, payroll and benefits. Her duties also include improving business processes and policies in support of organizational goals using Standard Operating Procedures.
She provides support to Sales, Marketing and Customer Service and supervises the Office Administrator and works in conjunction with Sales & Finance Support staff. Theresa also provides strategic input and assists in the development of strategic plans for operational activity as a liaison to Administration. Ian joined Vestige in 2014. He first interned at Vestige during college, after graduation he was hired as a Digital Evidence Specialist, promoted to Forensic Analyst in 2016, then accepted his current position as Senior Forensic Analyst in 2018. In this role, he is responsible for analyzing, testing and reporting on Electronically Stored Information (ESI) on digital devices from clients, opposing parties, and third parties.
Ian has a deep knowledge of both the technical and the legal aspects of Digital Forensic matters. To assure accurate outcomes, the Scientific Method of Testing is appled to each case. He works closely with clients throughout the forensic process and provides exceptional reporting. This includes memos, verbal report of findings, or written Expert Report. He also provides deposition, hearing and trial Expert Testimony. He takes special interest in malware analysis.

Alyssa is originally from Ashtabula, Ohio. In 2015 she graduated from Pittsburgh Technical College in Oakdale, PA where she earned an Associate Degree in Science, Information Technology. She also completed an internship at Vestige in 2015. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Forensics and Digital Investigations through Champlain College, Burlington, VT.
She joined Vestige as a Data Evidence Specialist in March 2018. She was quickly promoted to Forensic Analyst in May 2019, then Senior Forensic Analyst in April 2022. Christian Mammarella is a Senior Forensic Analyst. He joined Vestige in 2022 when Vestige acquired Cyopsis in Englewood, CO. Chris is now head of the Colorado office.
Chris has over 17 years of military and law enforcement experience. He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and previously worked in computer crimes for the State Attorney’s Office in the Sexual Predator Enforcement Unit in Florida. Having received training from the Secret Service and other government agencies, Mr. Mammarella put his training to work investigating digital crimes for various law enforcement agencies and task forces. He has testified in Federal, State, and Military Court and trained other officers in digital evidence investigation.
His is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children, Miami Electronic Crimes Task Force, Palm Beach County Sexual Predator Enforcement Unit, and Grid Cop.
Originally from Florida and also having worked in Texas and Colorado, Chris brings an excellent reputation and numerous clients to Vestige.
Chris has examined computer systems and mobile devices in Corporate HR, IP Theft, Insurance fraud and data recovery cases. He has also worked with his clients to create investigative production protocols to protect the client’s privacy. He is a Licensed Private Investigator in the state of Texas. He holds an OpenText forensic certification as an Encase Certified Examiner (EnCE). He has testified as a forensic expert for cases involving cell tower analysis, as well as in Federal, State and Military courts. He has been appointed to work as a neutral third party
by the courts. Christian has produced to the jury, video and graphic depictions of the electronic evidence.

Steve, a resident of Wooster, OH, is leading the charge of increasing Vestige’s position in the cybersecurity arena, including expanding reach and capabilities, as well as managing and growing the team.
He brings to the position government, military, and business experience. He was formerly with the United States Secret Service as a Special Agent and conducted criminal investigations surrounding cyber and financial crimes. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force as a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and was deployed several times working in strategic/tactical operations. Kenneth “Danny” Stemple, Jr., hails from Parkersburg, WV, where he attended Parkersburg H.S. He received an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science from West Virginia University and went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Forensics from Marshall University in WV in 2016.
He currently holds three professional designations: Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO), Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA), and AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE).

Jade Brown resides in Beachwood, OH. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics from Ohio University in Athens, OH. Jade served as an Ambassador for the Taiwan-U.S. Sister Alliance (TUSA) and was a TUSA Scholarship recipient. The pattern-thinking style which served Jade well in subjects such as language acquisition, and political science enabled her to cultivate her interests in technology, cyber forensics, and threat intelligence.
