Two new employees, Crum & Hausler, join Vestige

MEDINA, OH (May 8, 2023) – Vestige Digital Investigations, a leading U.S. Electronic Evidence Experts company specializing in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity & ESI Services, is pleased to welcome two new employees to the team: Jordan Crum and Evan Hausler.

Jordan Crum, BS, MS, hails from Austintown, OH.   She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Forensics and Information Assurance in 2020. She went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Cyber Forensics and Security in 2022.  She attained both college degrees at Marshall University in Huntington, WV.  Her skills include: Microsoft Office, Forensic Toolkit (FTK), Magnet AXIOM, Cellebrite , Open Source Intelligence , Chain of Custody, Computer Forensics and Forensic Analysis.

She joins Vestige as a Digital Evidence Specialist (DES).  As a DES, Crum is responsible for acquiring Electronically Stored Information (ESI) on digital devices from clients, opposing parties, and 3rd parties.  The data is then preserved and/or prepared utilizing forensically-sound procedures for case analysis. Specialists are also responsible for safekeeping, managing and returning physical evidence belonging to clients, opposing side and/or third parties.

Evan Hausler, was raised in Medina, OH.  He is a 2019 graduate of Medina High School and the Medina County Career Center’s Cybersecurity & Forensics Program.  He is currently attending the University of Akron to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cybersecurity and plans to graduate in December of 2024.  He also has a Microsoft Database certification

He joins us as a Cybersecurity Specialist. In this role he will assist our Cybersecurity Analysts in preparing client deliverables, administrative documentation, and process improvements. This includes communicating required actions and updates to Vestige cybersecurity clients. He will contribute to developing knowledgebase articles and guides/documentation. The position also involves maintaining internal documentation for Assessment and Remediation engagements, capturing information about the IT environment, security weaknesses, priorities, compliance standing, and next steps. He will also update internal references for the cybersecurity team.
