The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) developed the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) to ensure appropriate levels of cybersecurity controls and processes are adequate and in place to protect controlled unclassified information (CUI) on DoD contractor systems.

Vestige earned Registered Practitioner Organization (RPO) status in January of 2021. RPO’s are part of the CMMC ecosystem and provide advice, consulting and recommendations to their client contractors. RPOs are required to associate/hire Registered Practitioners (RP), who undergo training provided by Cyber-AB – the CMMC Certification Body . This specialized training is designed to provide RPs and RPOs with relevant information pertaining to the basic CMMC methodology.

RPs, CCPs, and RPOs have expert awareness in service delivery of what it takes to become certified CMMC consultants. Bound by a Professional Code of Conduct, RPs are Trusted Resources who can guide contractors who wish to begin and maintain valuable DoD contracts through the journey in becoming CMMC certified.
